Timber Ridge Care includes licensed senior living communities in Humboldt and Sonoma counties. Our communities support residents in leading independent lives while providing personalized help with activities of daily living in a warm, caring environment.
A resident's care plan is determined before move-in through an individual evaluation by our professional staff and the resident's personal physicians. We review each plan routinely and whenever needs change.
We encourage residents to be as independent as is comfortable. Residents can drive their own cars, furnish their apartments, enjoy community activities, and choose how much help they want or need. When needed, our staff can assist with housekeeping, grooming, bathing, medication management, and other daily activities.
We offer a range of services and care plans designed to fit each resident's changing needs. Residents pay only for the services they receive.
Timber Ridge was founded in 1995 by two local Humboldt County couples, Dr. Dan and Larona Farnum and Dan and Kendra Johnson. They formed Western Living Concepts, the assisted living management company that oversees the communities.
Starting base rental rates range from $4,000 to $6,710.* Additional fees may apply, including a one-time fee for admission and apartment preparation. Please contact the specific community for current pricing. *Pricing is provided for general information about typical senior housing costs. Rates vary by community and may fall outside this range.

We provide three specially prepared meals each day in our restaurant-style dining rooms. Residents and guests are served by our friendly dining staff, and we make every effort to accommodate residents' special dietary needs.
Our communities offer studios, one-bedroom apartments, and shared suites with private bedrooms, with a variety of views and floor plans to choose from.
Our passenger buses provide scheduled transportation to destinations such as physician appointments, shopping, libraries, local parks, and community activities. The buses include motorized lifts to accommodate wheelchairs.
