“Dear Larona and all; It has taken me a while to gather my thoughts and try to put into words the gratitude I feel in my heart for all of you at Timber Ridge for the care and friendship you provided for my sweet sister, Patty Tays. It’s difficult to believe she lived with you for 5 years! During those 5 years, I always knew that she was safe, comfortable, warm, well-fed, and respected which was a huge relief, especially as her body began to fail over the last several months. I loved visiting her and watching as various staff members would interact with her with smiles, and hugs, and gentle teasing. She never told me about anyone who wasn’t kind or anything she was upset about. I know the work you have each chosen to do can be difficult and emotionally draining.
